He is co-founder of Foundry Group and Techstars, investor in Makerbot, Fitbit, Zynga, Betabrand; author of several top selling startup books, including Startup Communities; active with several non-profit organizations, such as the National Centre for Women & Information Technology; and all around guru for tech startups, investors, and startup community leaders alike...and he is coming to Winnipeg!

Feld will be joined by Dr. Sean Wise, Professor of Entrepreneurship at Ryerson University, partner at Ryerson Futures, host of the Naked Entrepreneur, Startup Canada's 2014 "Mentor of the Year", a consultant for Dragons' Den, former director at Ernst and Young as well as co-founder of their Canadian Venture Capital Advisory Group, and co-author of Startup Opportunities: Know when to quit your day job.

Kindoma takes top spot at Canadian Financing Forum

Carly Shuler, Co-founder of Kindoma - a video chat and messaging app for families - was voted the top startup at the Canadian Financing Forum's startup showcase in Vancouver this past Friday. Shuler continued the trend of Manitoba-based startup founders that have been through Innovate Manitoba's Launch'Pad Bootcamp and then go on to achieve success and notoriety at national pitch competitions.

Manitoba Government extends funding for Innovate Manitoba

Jobs and the Economy Minister Kevin Chief announced at Driving Innovation 2015 that the Government of Manitoba has extended funding to 2017 for Innovate Manitoba. "Innovation is vital to Manitoba's economy, and innovative ideas and companies start, grow and thrive in communities that provide a solid system of support," said Minister Chief.
