Teen Physical Activity Grant
Great ideas sometimes need a kick-start to get set in motion. This is why Sport Manitoba has partnered with ParticipACTION to provide Teen Physical Activity Grants. Up to $500 can go toward anything that will help get teens moving: equipment, space rentals, transportation, or instruction. If it helps bring a teen physical activity program to life, the ParticipACTION Teen Challenge can support the program by making funds available.

When LTAD Babies Grow Up
Athletic excellence takes time. There is no fast-track process to excel in a sport. Researchers claim it takes 10,000 hours while sport scientists and coaching experts say 8–12 years. The Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary. This means we can now see the results of LTAD, and how effective it has been helping athletes develop physical literacy on their way to pursuing excellence and/or becoming active for life.
