Dear Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Member,
Manitoba remains in Code Red
On Thursday, March 18, the Manitoba government asked for feedback about a possible move to Code Orange. After reviewing the public feedback, the Province says it will remain at the ‘critical’ (red) level and will not be making public health order changes to restaurants or indoor gatherings.
The minor changes announced on Tuesday include:
- Increasing gathering limits at outdoor gatherings to 25 from 10 people.
- Maintaining retail capacity limits of 50%, but expanding in-store limits to 500 people (whichever is lower) with other public health measures still in place.
The changes go into effect on Friday, March 26 at 12:01 a.m. and will expire on April 15.
For more details, please see the Province’s news release.
