CPG's sales are expected to hit $6 million in fiscal 2016 and then double in years 2017 to 2019. "If we continue with our current pace of growth a second production facility will be in the planning phase by next summer," said Beaulieu.

Industry CONNECTS: Strategically Marketing Your Research

Industry Connects

Cutting edge research with great commercial and social potential was on display at the IndustryCONNECTS event 'Strategically Marketing Your Research: Pitch Coaching for Academics' held April 20, 2016 at the University of Manitoba.

Researchers pitched technologies ranging from improving the longevity of aortic valve replacements to reducing obesity through a unique cooking oil that has the added benefit of reducing input costs for bakeries.

Workshop participants learned ways to focus on the economic and social impact of their research when talking to industry partners and policy makers. The program was offered by Innovate Manitoba in collaboration with the University of Manitoba and promotional support from the University of Winnipeg and Red River College.

Innovate Manitoba looks forward to seeing these and other technologies on display at Pitch'Day 2016, taking place November 10 at the RBC Convention Centre.
