Dear Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Member,

Minor changes to public health orders effective April 21

On Monday, April 19, the Manitoba government announced a few changes to the current public health orders. Most changes affect public and private gatherings, with the following capacity changes to retail:

  • Retail stores must be limited to 1/3 capacity of the store or up to 333 patrons, whichever is lower
  • Malls will be limited to 1/3 of the facility’s capacity

No changes have been made for restaurants, bars, esthetic services, health services, hair salons, barber shops, tattoo and piercing salons, fitness studios or gyms.

These changes take effect at 12:01 a.m. April 21 and will last until May 12. Learn more from the Province’s public health orders news release.
