Below are the latest updates from City Hall that affect downtown Winnipeg:
Downtown Public Washroom - The City's 2023 budget has officially passed. This means that the funds required to
maintain the 10 hours of daily operation of Amoowigamig, the public washroom at 715 Main Street, have been approved.
Temporary Patio Program - The City is now accepting registrations for the temporary patio program that will allow
eligible businesses to operate a temporary patio space from April 1 to Oct. 31. Council has approved waiving the admin
costs for businesses registering for a temporary patio until March 2024.

Portage Place - City Council has approved True North Real Estate Development's (TNRED) option to purchase the land and
parkade at Portage Place from The Forks North Portage Partnership (TFNPP). TNRED says that planning and consultation

Adjusted dates - April Downtown Winnipeg Farmers’ Market
April 13 and 27
|
|
|
Lettuce romaine calm, Downtown Farmers' Market will be back soon! To make way for Easter long weekend and our Earth
Day CleanUp event, catch us at Cityplace Winnipeg on Thursday, April 13 and 27
with our exciting lineup of vendors from across the city.
With our spring indoor market season ending in May, we'll start accepting applications for our summer market on May
31! As a Downtown BIZ member, you're eligible to set up a FREE BOOTH, subject to space availability.
Why should you join the Farmers' Market? It can help you reach new customers - those who regularly attend the Farmers'
Market may not be familiar with your business or your products.
Our last two indoor markets had over 1,700 people in attendance!
