Downtown Winnipeg BIZ members told us in our recent survey their number one concern downtown is safety.
That’s why we’re bringing Mayor Scott Gillingham to you to share the City’s plans to improve downtown safety at our first Downtown Speaker Series, a quarterly event exclusively for Downtown Winnipeg BIZ members.
This brand-new event gives the downtown business community an opportunity to hear from an expert or decision-maker and connect about the issues that matter most to you. There is no cost to attend.

Time: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Doors open at 9:45 a.m.
Location: East India Company, 349 York Ave.

You will have an opportunity during the registration process to submit a question that will be passed on to the Mayor.

The Mayor’s Business Improvement Zone Awards recognize those who have made significant contributions to promote economic development in their BIZ.
Awards will be given in each of the following categories:
- Community program
- Beautification and streetscape enhancements
- Special events
- Marketing, promotion and safety initiatives
