Southern Chiefs Organization announces redevelopment of The Bay building downtown.
|
|
|
|
On Friday morning, it was announced that the Southern Chiefs Organization (SCO), which represents 34 First Nations communities in Manitoba, is transforming The Bay into a mixed-use development. Read more about the project in SCO’s news release.
The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ fully supports SCO’s redevelopment of this iconic building that will see more people living in the heart of our city. This plan marks an exciting shift in the transformation of our downtown. It’s about people, about community and it’s an important step towards reconciliation and building a more inclusive downtown that all Manitobans can be proud of.
We will keep you up-to-date as more details are shared and as the redevelopment progresses.

New date for Earth Day CleanUp Downtown – Apr. 29

Due to the heavy snowfall we’ve been experiencing this spring, we’ve postponed Earth Day CleanUp Downtown to Apr. 29, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
We look forward to cleaning up downtown next week!
